About me

Biography

From a Breton and Scottish family, Caroline studied classical violin at the conservatory, earning her Diploma of Musical Studies. She initially pursued law before deciding to fully dedicate herself to music after completing her Master’s degree. She then obtained her State Diploma in classical to contemporary violin.
Passionate about traditional music, she specializes in the Scottish repertoire for dance and has honed her skills under violinist Keith Smith. After numerous enriching musical encounters in France and Scotland (Matthias Rank, Luc Brady, Jim Lindsay, Andy Imbrie, Adam Sutherland…), she traveled to the United States to attend masterclasses with Alasdair Fraser, Hanneke Cassel, and Katie McNally.
Since 2018, Caroline has accompanied Scottish balls organized by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in Paris and has been invited to perform with her ceilidh band at numerous balls and ceilidhs in France (Seine Musicale, Jockey Club de Paris, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, British Embassy, Caledonian Society of France…) and abroad (Belgium, England, Scotland, San Francisco…).
In 2022, she joined the collective “Le Grand POP”, performing at the Bal à Béné, a dance event inspired by traditional European dance forms.
She continues to perform regularly in orchestras and teaches violin at the Conservatoire de Saint-Denis.
